I saw this sign up on campus last fall … I sure hope one of the strategies that was discussed was careful proof reading and the use of spell check.
Try spell-check as a strategy
Spell check your grad school app, and also spell check everything else.
I do it two ways:
1. I use a program that checks my spelling as I type. 2. I frequently write in Microsoft Word; you can set it so it shows spelling errors immediately.
And of course you proofread!
